Our mission is to provide a home to animals that have been adandoned or abused, to show them what it is to live in a home where they are loved.

I met Bobby and Laica as pups when I went to their owners house one evening to check on Lucky. They lived across from where I used to live. These people had 3 small dogs before and all except one had been poisoned by neighbours. The last one standing we took in and had put her up for adoption. Needless to say I was quite distraught when I realised that they were getting new dogs. But these little pups they had inside and were playing with them. I was hoping they had learnt and that these dogs wouldn't be suffering the same fate.

Every day on my way home I used to drive past their house and I always made sure to check that the pups weren't outside, tied up as guard dogs. One day I glanced over and sure enough, there they were. And I was furious. I told them telepathically that I would come for them, I promise.

And every day as I drove past there I continued to tell them I would come for them. I tried to come up with a plan to steal them and I would fantasise in the middle of the night, unhooking them. Until one day I got a call from their owner. She was desperate. She explained how her neighbours had been threatening to poison her dogs and how she threatened to take legal action against them. But that now it was no longer just her neighbours, it was the owner of the house that was evicting them because of a series of complaints. "I don't know what to do," she said.

Of course I knew what to do. This was the moment I had been waiting for except that I didn't know that this was how it was going to present itself. I told her that I would be there that evening after work. And so I was. I brought her with the 2 dogs and she helped me get them inside and relaxed. My 2 volunteers, Flor and Lucas, helped to get them settled and put them up in their room for the night. And the rest, is history.

Bobby and Laica are pitbull labrador crosses, with incredible temperaments. While Bobby is very protective over his sister and may seem very threatening, he will never be involved in a fight unless it is to defend himself or his sister. The two are inseparable and anyone that knows them will vouch for it. They are up for adoption as a pair only.
