Our mission is to provide a home to animals that have been adandoned or abused, to show them what it is to live in a home where they are loved.

What do you do when you find an animal in the streets and are unable to take it in? Many people have gotten in touch with me asking if I will accept a dog that was found on the streets, under the impression that we have a shelter. Since I do not have a shelter, the short answer is, no I can't take the dog in. But the longer answer is, yes I can help!

Team work: Help me to help

As an independent rescuer in Costa Rica I have very minimal and very limited resources when it comes to dog rescue. I focus mainly on life or death cases of rescue and take on one case at a time. To see the kinds of cases I take on look at my rescues page.

The biggest most valuable resource that I have is reach. I can reach a lot of people through social media and my website. So my first point of action would be to advertise the dog or cat. To do this I need you to send me as many good quality pics and a couple short videos to me via whatsapp or email. Add to this a description (as much as you know) which will include:

  • Male or Female
  • Castrated yes/no
  • Size
  • Colour
  • Temperament
  • Gets along with other dogs, cats or children

If you are able to help, these are the ways that will make it easier for me to place a dog in either a forever home or a foster.

  • Take the dog to be vaccinated is s/he is in good health
  • Give them Nexgard
  • Take them to be castrated
  • Get them dewormed
  • Supply a bag of food

The final and most important way that you can help me to place the dog is to deal with queries. Please give me a phone number where anyone interested can be reached, preferably someone who can speak Spanish.
