This is Paloma. Her story was sad and brave all at the same time. She was taken from her mother at 3 weeks old where she lived in squalor as the puppy of a 7 year old child. Susan has a lot of experience with puppies and the thought of this drove her to rescue her from these conditions. When we picked up Paloma she already had a weeks worth of diarrea. The very next day she was diagnosed with parvo and taken to Intensivet where she fought a brave fight for 3 and a half days. It’s hard when you can’t save them but sometimes showing them care and giving them a dignified death counts for more than all of that.
